Creamy Tomato Soup


This creamy soup was fabulous! It's one of my favorites on a Sunday nights. It's a quick, easy, yummy one! The Flatbread with Rosemary and Olive Oil made a great side-dish.

Creamy Tomato Soup from Simple and Delicious
1 can tomato sauce (29 oz.) (I used 4 eight oz cans and a 14 oz. can of petite diced tomatoes to make it go a little further)
1 cup heavy whipping cream (I added a bit more milk to make it stretch)
1-1/2 tsp. brown sugar
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp. white pepper
Dash hot pepper sauce (if desired)
Salad croutons, shredded cheddar cheese, quartered grape tomatoes and/or thinly sliced green onions

In a large sauce pan, combine the first seven ingredients. Cook and stir over medium heat until heated through (do not boil). Garnish with croutons, cheese, tomatoes, or onions.
